Klang Parade Snags the Coveted International Property Awards 2016-2017

12 April 2016, Kuala Lumpur – Lion Klang Parade Sdn Bhd has recently received an award by the prestigious International Property Awards (Asia Pacific) 2016-2017 in the “Retail Interior” category, for its project Klang Parade. The awards ceremony was hosted recently at the Shangri-La Kuala Lumpur on 8 April 2016, where it was attended many of the region’s top property consultants, managers, architects, and developers.

Following intensive judging from an international panel of adjudicators made up of 70 key industry players, Lion Klang Parade Sdn Bhd thus competed against a number of the region’s leading property developers and architects, subsequently emerging as Malaysia’s only entry to be awarded in the “Retail Interior” category. The judging panel is chaired by Lord Caithness and Lord Best, members of the House of Lords in the UK Parliament, the latter of whom was present during the awards ceremony on Friday to congratulate the winners.

Already in its 23rd year, the International Property Awards arguably remains the world’s largest, most prestigious, and widely recognised programme of its kind, and the use of its highly coveted award winners’ logo immediately informs industry players the high standards practiced and maintained by the winners. Attaining one of these awards proves that even a homegrown product like Klang Parade is able to hold its ground in the face of fierce competition from around the region and beyond.

“This marks Klang Parade first major award on an international scale, and we couldn’t be prouder of this achievement,” states June Lim, CEO of Amax Property Management Sdn. Bhd. and Country Head (Malaysia) for ARA Asset Management Limited (owners of Lion Klang Parade Sdn. Bhd.). “It’s a real pleasure to be recognised by an international committee for designing a project that immediately places us among the best in the industry, and this recognition is also a reflection on the amount of hard work our team has put into creating what Klang Parade is today, an award-winning asset.”

Hundreds of entries were received from 25 countries across the region of Asia Pacific covering residential, commercial, office, and mixed-use categories, whereby the panel of judges would then assess the entries based on design, quality, service, innovation, originality, and commitment to sustainability. At the end of 2016, the top winners for each category across the Asia Pacific regions will compete against companies from Europe, Africa, Arabia, the Americas and the UK to become the ‘World’s Best’ in their field. These will be announced at the International Property Awards finals at The Savoy, London, 12 December 2016.
